IMPRESSIONS by the artist’s friend, Anna Maria Occasione

There is, in the end, a sort of ancestral self-sufficiency in the works of Guido Profumo, like when one embarks on an expedition.  They contain all that is indispensable, all that is needed, that we find in nature, within us, retrieving and recycling both inner and outer elements, with a practical sense out of respect for their essence (as in “Naturale, minimale sobrio”); there is always a moment of decision before setting sail.
